Darsheel Safary, Taare Zameen Par Star, Is All Grown Up And A Total Heartthrob Ready To Make His Comeback With Quickie

Remember Darsheel Safary? Of course, you do. The kid who played the dyslexic boy Ishaan Awasthi in National award winning Taare Zameen Par 10 years ago. The one who stole our hearts with his innocence and acting prowess, and made us cry when he was forcibly sent to a boarding school? Well, he is no longer the adorable boy we loved so much. He will soon be 20, has grown up as handsome as he was cute, and is all set to make a comeback in the movies.

Darsheel will soon be seen in Quickie, a movie that’s been touted as a teenage love story and is helmed by filmmaker Pradip Atluri. Film critic Taran adarsh shared this information on his Facebook page earlier on Tuesday.

After Taare Zameen Par, Darsheel appeared in Bum Bum Bole and a few other films but went unnoticed by the box office. But now, it seems he is all set and ready to compete with the newbies of the industry and all the starkids, including Sara Ali Khan, Ishan Khattar and others, who are prepping up to make their debut with big banner films.

Since September, the young actor has been busy with theatre, working on his first play, ‘Can I Help You?’

We cannot wait for Quickie to hit the theatres but since its release date is far from being finalised, here’s a quick look at the gorgeous teen and the next big movie star (we hope).
